Meet Dr. Sunny Yoonsun Jang

Introducing Dr. Sunny (Yoonsun) Jang to the San Mateo Smile Co. Team!

Dr. Sunny earned her undergraduate degree in Biology from the University of Pennsylvania. She then received her first dental degree from the prestigious Seoul National University School of Dentistry in South Korea. Driven by a passion for clinical excellence, she completed her second dental degree as Salutatorian of her class at the UOP Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry in San Francisco.

Dr. Sunny is also a proud member of the Omicron Kappa Upsilon (OKU) and Tau Kappa Omega (TKO) honor societies. Her deep compassion for patients also has inspired her clinical research interests in sleep disorders like sleep apnea and temporomandibular joint (TMJ) disorders.

Known for her gentle, conservative, and comprehensive approach to care, Dr. Sunny is committed to helping every patient achieve a confident smile and healthy oral function.

She is fluent in Korean and also conversant in basic Mandarin.

Outside the office, Dr. Sunny enjoys traveling with her husband and children, Pilates, and spending time with her friends.
